History of the Company:

Crime Prevention Resources is a subsidiary of Advantage Source, Inc., which was established in 1986.

The primary business of the company is the production of educational material for personal improvement, personal and corporate safety issues, business success and related topics. Currently, the primary medium on which material is being produced is DVD video. Other media such as handbooks, manuals, and discussion guides are also being utilized.

Crime Prevention Resources, promotes itself as "Your partner in crime prevention," and markets products primarily to law enforcement agencies, community/neighborhood watch organizations, businesses, schools, and drug treatment centers.

In 1994, the company began producing television programming. "A Line In the Sand," the company's first production received an 8 market share rating and was nominated for a 1995, regional Emmy award. Other products have been produced, and future video products will be produced with the idea that they can also be aired on broadcast television.

In 1997, Crime Prevention Resources began an ambitious campaign to reduce drug abuse in our nation. In September of that year, "Drug Wars - Crank County," a program about the harmful effects of methamphetamine, was released. Subsequent to this release, CPR initiated a marketing effort into the area of drug treatment centers. The response was overwhelming, and signaled a new and expanded vision for the future of the company.

Crime Prevention Resources decided to continue fighting in the war on drugs.  In 1998, Crime Prevention Resources produced an emotionally powerful program called, "Drug Wars - One Family's Battle," a true story about the life and death of a drug addict and how his choices affected the lives of his family and friends.  The program was a phenomenal hit with drug treatment and prevention centers, as well as with teachers, counselors and school resource officers, throughout the country.

The program was very powerful and the message so important that the company decided to do something for its local community of Medford, Oregon that had never been done before....  In January of 1999, Crime Prevention Resources banded together with local law enforcement agencies, hospitals, drug treatment and prevention centers, business owners, and television stations in and around Medford to broadcast "One Family's Battle" on all the TV stations at the same time.  The broadcast was a huge success with great response from the community.

Since then, Crime Prevention Resources has continued its part in the war on drugs by developing and acquiring new programs on drug prevention and education.  The company is also working towards doing other broadcasts in Oregon and other parts of the country.  Crime Prevention Resources continues to develop new business and community/neighborhood crime prevention materials based on the needs of its customers.
